Korean Bites
In this Sur La Table cooking class focused on Korean bites, our students learned how to prepare authentic dishes like bulgogi, mandu or dumplings, and simple spicy soup. The class covered essential techniques such as marinating meat in a savory blend of soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil, frying the meat till tender and brown, folding dumplings with the perfect balance of meat filling, and making a rich, flavorful broth for the spicy soup using ingredients such as gochujang. By the end, our students attained the skills to create these delicious Korean dishes and bring the bold tastes of Korea to their own kitchens.
